The Hustle. The Gig Life.

My first paying gig in NYC after touring full-time with RBBB was... an experience.

I was hired to do strolling entertainment in full CLOWN (whiteface, red nose, floppy shoes—the whole shebang) at a Bar Mitzvah in a warehouse nightclub. 🕺

At that point, I had never “gigged” a day in my life.

I was eaten alive. Like… deer in headlights vibes

I was so bad that I’m pretty sure the client refused to pay the agency. I don’t even blame them.😭 I had absolutely no idea what I was doing!

Afterward, I may or may not have curled up in the fetal position in my Queens basement apartment, trying to ignore the memory of my performance... and the fact that my place was currently flooded with sewage. 💩🚿 (anyone remember that?)

The good news? Once I got that disaster out of my system, I realized I actually love the gig life. I’m so grateful for the entertainment companies that have trusted me with their best events (and their wildest asks) over the years!

Thank you for letting me play. Reach out if you need me! 📞

Soooooo what’s your best (or worst) gig horror stories? I wanna hear them all. 👇

(Oh, thank goodness we pushed NOT to massage people’s feet that night- whew 😅)
